1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

Chevrolet changed the body design in 1955, opting for the "shoe box" body with smooth straight panels on the sides and hood.  Modern cues included the wrap-around glass on the windshield and triangular taillights that jutted outward.  This was one of the most iconic of the Harley Earl designs.  This year also featured an all new chassis design as well as the brand new Chevrolet V8 engine.
